MEMORY & HISTORYWHAT THE REGION REMEMBERS
Grauwall is a city of negotiated obligations: fees, crossings, bell duties and the keeping of names. Local memory is held not only by rulers but by bell founders, masons, scribes and neighbours who insist that a lane must not be forgotten. The city is important to the published first novel without revealing what happens inside it.

LANDSCAPE & ROUTESTHE LAND UNDERFOOT
Reedbeds and grey waterways divide the marches. Grauwall rises from quays, bridges, bell towers and crowded stone houses. Its lower streets share walls with water; beyond them lie low ground, winter stores and roads that must be kept open in wet weather.

PEOPLES & CUSTOMSLIFE IN THIS PLACE
The city belongs as much to its craftspeople as to its courts. Bell founders, tanners, boatmen and grain merchants share crowded streets with keepers of records and the people whose names rarely reach a register. The adjacent realm of Valmark meets Graufeld at the old river crossings.

FLORA & FAUNATHE LIVING LAND
Wet woods, black ivy, reed marshes and canal habitats define the ecology. Bell bats and blind canal fish are noted in the world-building field guide. The ARPG bestiary goes further into dangerous creatures of the lower city, which are labelled as concepts rather than facts about the first novel.
